Structure.....it's a good thing. When we design a new web site we find it helps enormously to work within a framework which each side is aware of. That way everyone knows the plan. The process is fluid and flexible and assists both parties in leaving no stone unturned in coming up with the best possible solution.

This is where it all begins. If possible we prefer to meet you face to face. It’s a key stage and provides the foundation for everything going forward. We’ll talk through the project, look at how you’ve used the web to date, and look at what you want to achieve going forward. The output from here will be a Creative Overview which both parties will agree to.
Now we understand what the scope of the project is, and the end goal, it’s time to start talking through in detail exactly what that means. Top line - what sections are going to be incorporated into the site and what's going to be in each section.
It sounds a little weird we know, however, this stage allows us to quickly mock up what the site might look like without for example getting bogged down in discussions about colour and font type. Our focus at this stage is on hierarchy, placement and contrast.
Things are really starting to take shape at this stage. Colour visuals help us to get a feel for the site. Due to the work already done, there are unlikely to be too many surprises, however, it's always exciting to see what things will look like.
Once the layout have been agreed, it's time to turn it all into finely crafted (X)HTML and CSS code, possibly integrated into the most suitable Content Management System for the project. Most likely it will also include PHP, a MYSQL database and a smattering of Javascript for luck.
The look and feel is now finished and it's time to bring all the various components together and build the site.
We're done! The site is built, we've all reviewed it and it's officially going live. We'll be monitoring it closely in its early days to make sure all is going according to plan.
