Succinctly informing people of 'who you are' is an interesting exercise to go through for anyone. If we had to define ourselves in words here's how it might go:

We are the archetypal two man band... except we're one man and one woman. Still, let's not split hairs here, in principle two of us form the core team, although as required, we work with a number of independent freelancers we've built relationships with over the years.

Marsbrook was born in 2001 and we initially focused very selfishly on building revenue generating web sites for ourselves. A useful experience for any web agency mind you as it means we have real experience of not just designing and building a site, but ensuring that it delivers over the long term.

In 2009, with Mandy's return to the business, marsbrook has branched out to offer design services to other businesses.

Richard:

In years gone past Richard has been more of a tech head than he lets on. He's been fiddling with code here and there for a long time, begrudgingly starting off with things called 4GL's whilst more recently fully embracing (X)HTML, CSS and Content Management Systems to do wondrous things. It doesn't seem right that someone should get such pleasure out of 'geeky' things. Scarily he's also not bad at meddling around with the internals of a computer... although they may not always work afterwards.

Somewhere in the middle he spent 5 years with Microsoft in a technical marketing role.

Mandy:

With a very strong customer service and marketing background, and an unnerving level of attention to detail Mandy is more than a marketing luvvy (so the rumour goes). She's a feet on the ground person who takes a key role in ensuring our client projects run smoothly from the very start to the very finsh.

A talented and qualified photographer in her own right, she adores being behind the lens of a camera which can come in very handy when some specific photography is required for a site.

Mandy spent even longer at Microsoft than Richard and has many stories to tell...

 

We get massive satisfaction out of what we do and are here to guide you through the process. It doesn't stop when your site is built either - if using a CMS we'll train you up to make sure you're adept at making any changes you need to your web site, and of course ...in the words of the 'Fairy Godmother' in Shrek the movie....'happiness is only a phone call away'! (You may need young children to fully grasp that...but we're sure you know what we mean even excusing our morsel of creative license!).
